Forest Engineer (MSc), Land Surveying and Land Management Engineer, PhD in Forestry and Wildlife Management Sciences, Co-Founder of DualWing Forestry

I come from a family with a multigenerational tradition in forestry. This gave me the opportunity to become familiar with the world of forests from an early age and fostered a strong sense of professional vocation toward forestry. I earned degrees in Forest Engineering and in Land Surveying and Land Management Engineering in Sopron. I defended my doctoral dissertation at the Institute of Geomatics and Civil Engineering of the University of Sopron, entitled “Investigation of the Forestry Applications of Point Clouds and Surface Models Derived from Aerial Remote Sensing Data.”

In my scientific work, I focus on the application of modern remote sensing technologies, UAV photogrammetry and airborne laser scanning to the inventory and assessment of forest stands. My publications cover topics ranging from the relationships between forest structure and topographic factors to the generation and topographic analysis of digital terrain models.

My research activities also include the estimation of forest carbon stocks using satellite imagery and laser-scanned point clouds, contributing to the geospatial assessment of carbon sequestration potential. I have presented my work at several professional and scientific conferences and, as a co-author, contributed to the development of the Hungarian professional publication Geomatika az erdészetben (“Geomatics in Forestry”).

I have broadened my international experience in several countries and regions, including Sweden and Transylvania. I communicate confidently in English in professional and technical contexts.

As a co-founder of DualWing Forestry, I combine the traditional forestry perspective with the latest geomatics technologies, applying a high level of professional rigor. My goal is to provide our partners with accurate and reliable data through drone-based and digital mapping solutions, thereby supporting sustainable and efficient forest management.

I come from a multi-generational forestry family, where a love of nature and respect for the profession shaped my career path from an early age. I earned my degree in Forest Engineering at the University of Sopron and spent two semesters at the Albert-Ludwigs-Universität Freiburg in Germany with Erasmus and Pannonia scholarships, while also gaining professional experience in Sweden. I am proficient in both English and German at an advanced professional level. I am currently a PhD student at the Roth Gyula Doctoral School of Forestry and Wildlife Management Sciences of the University of Sopron. 

I completed my thesis entitled “Efficient Surveying of Piled Timber Assortments Using Modern Tools – An Examination of Inventory Possibilities” in collaboration with Papierholz Austria GmbH. My work was supervised with the support of my current business partner.

As co-founder of DualWing Forestry, I work with an innovative mindset while respecting professional traditions, striving to place drone technology and modern digital solutions at the service of sustainable forest management. At the heart of my work lies the balance between the economic and natural values of forests.
